Community Touch, Inc.

Community Touch, Inc. (www.communitytouchinc.org) provides temporary housing, food, and caseworker assistance to the homeless, hungry, and deprived throughout Fauquier County.

Their Victory Transitional home currently provides shelter to 14 families for up to one year. Residents receive job training, as well as training in budgeting and life skills to assist them in making a successful transition to independent living.

Clara's Faith House Food Pantry provides food for residents of Fauquier, Culpeper and Rappahannock counties. Nearly half the food recipients are children.

Noah's Ark accepts and distributes clothing, furniture, household items, toys, books, and other items at no charge to qualified low-income families.

Fauquier SPCA

The Fauquier SPCA (www.fauquierspca.com) provides temporary refuge for stray, homeless and abandoned animals, and finds new homes for them whenever possible

Funds raised through Fauquier Values Card sales are helping the SPCA fulfill its mission to feed and shelter our county's homeless animals. You can purchase the card directly from SPCA at their Casanova office, at Georjean's Pet Grooming, or online here.

Fun For All Playground

Ground-breaking for the much-awaited Fun For All Playground is scheduled to take place this June, 2008, with a goal of completing construction by Fall 2008.

The playground will be built next to the new Warrenton Sports Complex near Fauquier High School.

The Fun For All Playground is being designed to accommodate the needs of all children, regardless of any physical and/or cognitive disabilities.
